  DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT order a furniture piece for in store pickup without checking to see if the box will fit in your car. I ordered a crib, dresser, and hutch. I had all delivered except for the hutch. The item arrived and my husband and i went to the store to pick it up. On the line at customer service, the woman asks me what car I have, year, make, etc. She radios it over to the guy in the furniture department, who tells her that based off of the furniture dimensions, there was no way it would fit in our car. The woman suggested we come back with a truck. We currently drive a Crossover. We get back in our car, head to uHaul and rent a big van. Drove it back. They come out the store with our box. I can’t even explain the reaction my husband and I had. Even the young boys bringing the hutch out to us, laughed at the size of the van vs the size of the box. I just spent $50 on a rental for a box that could actually fit in a sedan!! I was furious. It was money and time wasted. Jay the manager was helpful in giving us a credit of $70 ($20 for inconvenience). But seriously, this should not have happened. I am also at fault for not looking at the box myself and going off of someone else’s “measurements” or assumptions rather. But seriously. 1 star goes to Jay and the actual furniture being nice and sturdy.
